Students visit Devil's Lake
Quarry helps make trip a reality for students
April 2, 2008 - The Vulcan Materials Company Racine Quarry is proud to announce its support for the St. Rita Elementary School's trip to Devil's Lake State Park near Baraboo, Wisconsin. Vulcan is assisting the school by covering all transportation costs relating to the trip.
St. Rita, a longtime participant in Vulcan's Adopt-a-School program, will send its 7th grade students to Devil's Lake as part of their geology curriculum. The students will get a hand's on look at the Park's unique rock formations and will be given a specialized tour by a park ranger.
The tour is sure to be a hit with all of the students and Vulcan is excited to be apart of this special opportunity.
