The Racine Quarry Since the 1800's, the Racine Quarry has served the local communities and state economy as an employer and as a provider of vital construction materials that are needed to build and maintain our infrastructure and support economic growth. We are committed to being an active part of the community, a socially responsible neighbor and good stewards of the environment.
Racine Quarry Community Advisory Group My name is Gene Pagel. I live on Ellis Avenue, near the Vulcan Materials Company quarry, which has been in the area since the 1800s. Vulcan's run the operation since 1958. I'm writing to let you know about an important development in the history of the quarry and the neighboring communities of Caledonia and Racine.
Vulcan Materials Company Foundation The Vulcan Materials Company Foundation was established in 1988 to assist in carrying out our mission of being a good corporate citizen in the communities where we have facilities. We support and take an active part in many public and charitable projects.
Our objective is to help build stronger communities by working with schools, supporting environmental education and encouraging employee involvement. Our activities include involvement in adopt-a-school programs, funding scholarships, and establishing and maintaining certified wildlife habitats.
